We can help heal

hard-to heal wounds.

Living with a wound that won't heal is frustrating, often painful, and potentially serious. A wound care management plan tailored for you can help improve your healing and quality of life.

Our country is in the midst of an enormous rise in wound care, mostly secondary to diabetes. There are currently 17 million diabetics in the United States. A high percentage of these are patients who have non-healing wounds that require advanced wound care. Often, these wounds, untreated, lead to amputations that further debilitate those afflicted, complicating their health status even further.

About 15 percent of the elderly population suffers from chronic wounds, and the number of individuals 65 and older will double during the next 30 years, experts say. It is estimated that 5 million Americans suffer from chronic wounds today.

Vascular experts are equipped with innovative techniques that provide specialized care and management needed to address hard to heal wounds.  Dr. Drummond is experienced in treating a wide array of challenging wounds.

Are you ready to begin your journey to a better day?

Aggressive Healing with a Gentle Touch

Our wound care program is called NOW Wound Care and Limb Preservation.  NOW offers a unique healing environment for our patients. The staff of professionals in our center often care for individuals who have experienced catastrophic injury or illness. In some cases, a patient's medical condition can result in chronic non-healing wounds, persistent resting pain, and impaired circulation caused by peripheral vascular disease.

Our clinical professionals often have to deal with the following types of wounds:

•    Arterial Leg Wounds
•    Venous Stasis Wounds
•    Pressure Wounds
•    Diabetic Foot Wounds

We utilize the most advanced technology and the latest treatment techniques to provide the tailored care to treating and healing wounds.

Amputations

Until recently, the surgical response to these conditions was most often amputation. While some cases may necessitate amputation, many patients are now more aggressively evaluated for the opportunity to spare the limb. Our multidisciplinary care teams at NOW Wound Care and Limb Preservation work together to help restore vascularization, minimize limb loss and maximize healing.

Commitment to your care

Our Physicians and Staff are committed to YOU. Our goal is to maintain or improve your Quality of Life. We will keep you and your family informed at every stage along your path to healing.
